Interview with Francisco Gouveia

...

Let's meet Francisco Gouveia, our top of the game Dynamics 365 Consultant!

How did Luza come into your life and why did you choose us to develop your career?

Luza came into my life after I decided to come back to Portugal after two years in the Netherlands. When I started searching for jobs and having interviews Luza seemed the ideal place to restart my life in Portugal. A modern workplace with young people and a clear target for growth inside the Microsoft World.

What do you most value in the company and how do you expect to contribute to joint growth?

At this point what I am valuing the most is the modern mindset, where we are trying to do something new in Portugal with the backup from the Cronos Group. Working with clients from the centre north of Europe also gives us new insights about what we can do in new ways and in the edge of the Microsoft Technology. I also want to contribute with that energy to dynamize our company and help our clients in the best possible way, both as a developer as well as a good communicator.

What is your opinion about remote work and why do you think it is a good option?

First, remote work, allows you to have a more balanced work life, being more responsible for your tasks and delivery times also. But being with colleagues in the same office also has some benefits.

What are your main functions and skills?

I came as a technical consultant for Dynamics 365, so my experience comes from developing in C# or JavaScript the CRM of clients. I also do have some functional knowledge that I hope can help in the company. Besides that, I have some experience with the Power Platform, and Azure, that can help with the integration of external services with the Dataverse.

What project are you involved in and what do you do?

At the moment I am developing my Power BI capacities with the intention of eventually taking the PL 300 exam from Microsoft. Also with some internal processes in Dynamics to speed up some activities such as employees’ vacations.

How did the onboarding process go?

The onboarding went very smoothly. Rita and Nelson gave me all the help I needed to start on the right foot at the company. Also introduced me to my new colleagues who all made the process very easy for me to be integrated into Luza.

Where do you live and what do you like to do in your free time? Is there any curiosity about you?

I live in Carcavelos, Cascais. I am a person who enjoys being out with my friends, and while at home to watch sports or some tv show. In the Netherlands, like before in Portugal I was a football youth coach for about eight years, but now I am on a break from that hobby.

What do you expect from the future?

I expect new challenges from Luza, and from potential clients, opportunities to develop and grow as a developer, as a consultant and mostly as a professional individual.

Do you consider that we are fulfilling our claim of “We make work a positive experience? 😊 Why?

Indeed, I do, with great Team Buildings like the one I already had the pleasure to be part of in Viseu (beautiful city), with help both from management and colleagues, trying to take the best of each other, and I think that is one of the things where the company stands out from other work environments.
